- AFS can't improve the raw transfer rate of the drive (much). What it can do is
- significantly improve the transfer rate actually achieved through the file
- system. So while the disk speed programs may not see much improvement for
- data transfers, the file creation/deletion/directory listing rates can be
- 10 times better. This effectively gives a significant improvement in
- performance for most applications.

- I use AFS Pro, and although I've had a couple of problems with it, it is
- much faster than FFS in most cases.
